There are many words of advice that I can offer to people who want to become an Image Consultant and have a successful image consulting career.

This is the most important tip I can offer you so listen up! Research and compare several image consultant trainers. Just because someone charges the most does not mean that they are the best so beware! Ask for credentials and testimonials, shop and compare the image consultant training products they offer.

Join an accredited image consulting association like AICI. The image consulting business can be isolating because of how much time you work alone and having other image consultants to bounce ideas off of is a great resource.

Maintain excellent financial records, hire someone to help you or take a business course that will provide you with a solid business plan. Marketing and networking play an equal role in accomplishing the goals of a successful image consulting business.
